TOP 5 SOUTH AFRICAN DANCE MUSIC AWARDS NOMINEES ANNOUNCED
Following the announcement of the highly anticipated third annual official Dance Music Awards South Africa earlier this year, SA fans took to the internet to vote for your TOP5 favourites over the past few weeks.
Post the success over the past two years, the South African Dance Music Awards will this year celebrate dance music under the umbrella of 21 categories in total.
The competition which is driven strictly by social media and online interaction, means there is no “panel” or judges who will dictate the nominees or actual winners. The public have the frist and last say in the winners.
Voting opened on Monday and will close on the Sunday, the 29th September 2019.
“Now in it’s 3rd year, the Dance Music Award was created to honour the leaders of the genre, says awards representative Ricardo da Costa, ‘This year’s response has been phenomenal with a record number of nominations in all categories. As anticipated, the Amapiano category got the most entries this year so this addition was clearly applauded and love by the fans. Get those votes in South Africa so we can once again make history! ’
The City of Ekurhuleni will host an honorary ceremony on Wednesday, 03rd October where all winners will be announced.
