TASTIC RICE COLLABORATES WITH DAVID TLALE ON DESIGNER WEDDING DRESS
POLOKWANE, 4 October 2019. TASTIC Rice and fashion designer David Tlale have embarked on a special partnership to make one lucky bride’s fashion dreams come true. A national call out!
Inspired by his Heritage Month collaboration with Tastic Rice, as well as the rich and vibrant mix of cultures found in South Africa, David has designed a one-of-a-kind wedding dress that will be revealed at AFI Joburg Fashion Week on 10thOctober 2019. “In designing the dress, I took inspiration from the way in which I saw the country’s women and men express themselves during Heritage Month; as well as the memories of my beloved mother growing up.”
David Tlale also drew inspiration for the design from his recent showcase at New York Fashion Week, where other African designers also took centre stage. “Being African means something unique to all of us, and the NYFW platform gave the world a glimpse of what that expression can look like, in all it’s different forms. Every bride deserves a couture moment and I’m excited to make one special bride’s dreams come to life,” shared David. .
“The Tastic brand is all about celebrating life’s special occasions, and there are few moments bigger than one’s wedding” says Thembi Sehloho, Marketing Director for Rice and Pasta at Tiger Brands South Africa.
“We’re excited for the lucky winner to celebrate their special day with Tastic and their one-of-a-kind creation” adds Sehloho.
The competition will be run across national and regional radio as well as social media from October, and the winner will be announced in December 2019.
