COFFEE BAY CULTURAL FESTIVAL

Bosa Communication presents the 3rd Annual Coffee Cultural Festival event for Bomvana Community Development NPC which take place in Coffee Bay from the27th-29th September 2019.

Friday the 27th the event kicks off with the fundraising Gala Dinner at 19h30-22h30,on the 28th event kicks off with10km/5km
fun race,12h00-12h30 HorseParade,12h30-15h30 Cultural Festival,16h00-17h00 Intombi Zenkciyo,18h00-19h30 Mr and Ms
COCUFE,20h00-06h00 all Genres Music Concert.

The event is a brainchild of a black woman who is currently the only woman in the industry in the O.R Tambo District Municipality to own such event, she is born and bred in the same villages of Mqanduli the KSD Municipality ,who have had 1st hand and experience of challenges faced by youth and women in the rural areas.
“The event aims to curb the high rate of teenage pregnancy and drug abuse in our rural areas. We believe that through Arts, Culture and Sports ,they will learn to remain focused,disciplined.
With this event ,we seek to work with the municipalities , businesses and communities in ensuring that we establish our very 1st own 8 Arts, Culture and Sport Empowerment centre’s within the 8 Tribal authorities within Mqanduli that would give our youth and women opportunities to participate on daily basis thereby feeding to the event to showcase their cultural diversity through exhibition of their work.”said the Managing Director of Bosa Communications Sbongile Kunju.

The Youth and women are the cornerstone of any country’s future. Nowhere is this truer than in the King Sabata Dalindyebo
Municipality and OR Tambo District Municipality. The Majority of the King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality youth have suffered years of neglect ,resultinginmaterial ,education and Cultural impoverishment . Substantial resources really need to be committed in
addressing the needs of the young people and women of King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality.

The Arts, Culture and Sport can play a central role because , through the arts the young people are able to express themselves in ways that simultaneously enhance their intellectual abilities and develop essential life skills. In this way they also express and form a sense of identity which is the key to the Nation –Building and evolution of commonconsciousness.
The King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality and OR Tambo District Municipality,(Mthatha, Mqanduli , Coffee Bay and Hole in the Wall) has a very rich tourism destination areas , indigenous culture which is unique to its people, more especially inTraditional dance,Music
Storytelling, Visual Art, Horseriding, Craft and FilmandVideoskills.
Featured activities and entertainment will include Fundraising Gala Dinner ,Arts,FashionandCraftExhibitions ,Athletics,HorseParade, live performances from local cultural groups ,Intombi Zenkciyo, Mr and Ms COCUFE, Music Concert of all music genre’s & Food Court.
