I Am An Education Champion Campaign
A matriculants shower campaign will be launched at the beginning of graduation season in April 2021 as a flagship initiative of the 10thannual Rising Stars Career Expo. The campaign will be running through social media platforms by the class of 2021 for the matriculants with #IAmAnEducationChampion. Furthermore, an opportunity for new graduates to share their after-matric experiences with young people who will be attending 2021 events in 2 provinceswill be opened. Career choices trends continue to evolve as innovative technology concepts makes work processes easier and effortless. In a recent report released it was reported that companies like Google mentioned that they no longer hire staff based only on their qualifications. Although this information confirms what is already happening in the workplace, education remains a solid foundation. Ten recent graduates, preferably who are already working, will be chosen to be Keynote Speakers and inspire high school learners with their stories.
Over and above this, the Rising Stars Career Expo organizers will request every graduate to post their graduation photos with #IAmanEducationChampion throughout 2021 on social media platforms. “During this 10th year anniversary of the RSCE, we want to establish a movement that celebrate Education Excellence”, says Event Organiser Thulisa Mangcotywa. Most graduates feel like failures when they struggle to get a job and our aim with this campaign is to shift that mindset. Graduates will be invited to attend the expo either in Johannesburg or Durban.

The purpose of the Rising Stars Career Expo is to help learners, students, unemployed youths & graduates to connect with companies, tertiary institutions & organizations and to prepare them for the world of work.
