A Product Of Rape But I Am Chosen By God Book Lauch
The night of the 31st of October 2020 will see dynamic, inspiring, authentic entrepreneur, speaker, mentor and now author, Sylvester Mashilo Moepya launch his debut book titled “Sylvester Mashilo…A product of rape But I am Chosen by GOD.”
The multi-skilled professional with a background in Economic & Enterprise Development, Business Development & Sales, Facilitation & Training, Human Capital Management, Strategy Consulting, Broadcasting, Higher Education and Entrepreneurship is on a journey of renewal, redemption in Christ and purposeful living. His life like many of us has been littered with misfortunes, challenges and successes. The book places the spotlight on mental illnesses, infidelity, promiscuity, identity, deep reflection, faith, self-affirmation, courage and authenticity and eventual redemption.
In recognition of his own dark past and his use of wealth to entrench patriarchy and gender inequality Sylvester is using his past to help other men and boys to be better men for society. He does so without blame or judgement but an acknowledgement that some men carry deep wounds that sometimes lead them to hurt others.
Sylvester is a Lead mentor with the NPOs, Mentor a Boy Child (MABC) and The Character Company. These organisations have at their core the need to inspire boys and men to be positive contributors to society by providing them with mentorship, lifelong tools and workshops.
The launch will be hosted by Lwazi Mlaba ,Social Activist ,Entrepreneur and Global Fund Replenishment Champion. The launch will be a call to action for men across the globe to be advocates of change and to normalize being authentic, courageous, honest and compassionate.
The book launch is set to take place at RamikikiCountry Restaurant & Conference Centre at 16h00 PM and will focus on the book and themes from the book such as mental illnesses, infidelity & promiscuity, identity, courage, faith, forgiveness and restoration. This will be followed by book signing, exclusive cocktail dinner for guests including media interviews.
Sylvester hopes that by reading his book, you will extricate lessons of a life that was in ruins but received redemption through grace that abounds when you are in Christ. “We often feel like we have free licence to be reckless throughout our lives because ‘we only live once ‘but truth be told, we live every day and only die once. So while we are here, let us strive to be better every day, to be kind to ourselves and at peace with the world around us”…Sylvester Mashilo
